For a long time I’ve talked about doing a masterclass. Some of my clients had requested one so this week I finally hosted my first one.
What better way to launch my website than sharing some make up tips and tricks.
When I announced the date less than a week before the date I was shocked at the response. It booked up in the first 24 hours. I thought I’d be happy and lucky with 10-15 people attending but 27 was crazy! I wanted a small group so it could be an interactive evening and everyone could learn something.
So I got to work on my goody bags once my guest list was full. Thanks to Nicola @personalisedpartypieces for sourcing my bags and creating my own stickers to personalise them.
A Pink Theme happened kind of by mistake but was clearly meant to be. So I just ran with it. It suited the website perfectly.
I was thrilled with our goody bag contents, It felt nice to be able to give my guests something to take home with them.
Contents and Brands: Thanks so much.
@PushMakeUp. The gorgeous Katrina Kelly sent everyone a full size product. Either lip liner or cream pop shadow. Also she sent a gorgeous lip combo Spice liner and Freckles lipstick to use in the demo. This suited my model Elaine perfectly.
@VitaLiberata send tan goodies for everyone. And also an amazing spot prize of Body Blur my favourite instant tan, a bottle of the Ten Minute Tan and also the 2-3 week Phenomonal Tan.
@Moroccanoil Original treatment in every bag. This product is amazing.
Alfaparf sent Shampoos and Hair Treatments for everyone.
And I got samples of Glam Glow Masks and Smashbox primers from my good friend Ciara.
I was so lucky to have such a fab place to host my event in Rustiq Salon Carlow. The girls all helped me set up and pull it all together. We served Prosecco and Pink Lemonade on arrival. Everyone was given a strip of raffle tickets and put into the draw for 4 spotprizes.
I had asked everyone as they arrived what they wanted to get out of the evening and almost all of them said eye make up. So I created 2 eye looks, the first was the use of transition colours and different brushes to create the perfect blend, and the second was a simple smokey eye and again the importance of blending. Then some tips on how to apply lashes.
Onto Skincare and how to choose foundations. Completing your skin with Setting powders, How to Contour properly, Blusher and Highlighter. And then finishing with lips.
We had so much fun. Everyone asked loads of questions and we had such a laugh. It was like having a night in with the girls.
Thanks so much to everyone who came and for all your feedback. I already have a waiting list for the next one, which I will have to set a date for very soon.
